History of SPS
Read More25th Anniversary Dinner
L to R: Gordon Maxcy, Bob Dial, Bill Razey, Langston McEachern, Jack Barham, T.C. Smith and Tom Drummond. The group was present to participate in celebration of the 25th Year Anniversary. All but Langston and Jack were founding or early SPS members.
The picture was taken by Jim Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia, owner of The Nelson Touch Studio on Cheshirebridge Road, who drove here from Atlanta with Diana Wallace to attend the meeting. Both Jim and Diana were current or former partners of Bob’s in studios of Atlanta.
Jack and Langston were chief photographers of Shreveport’s Journal and Times, respectively. Bob served under Jack in the Marines and Langston was Bob’s boss at the newspaper for 8 ½ years in the ‘50s and ‘60s.
